What it measures

A visible method, not a mystery score.

The fit score weights role-language alignment at 55%, quantified impact at 25%, and structure plus contact signals at 20%. The app cannot inspect an employer's private hiring configuration.

01

Role-language comparison

Extracts meaningful terms from the target job and shows which ones appear in the resume, without encouraging unsupported claims.

02

Measured-impact review

Checks whether achievement bullets include useful evidence such as percentages, time saved, scale, revenue, customers, or team size.

03

Structure and contact checks

Reviews conventional sections and plain-text contact signals that help both human readers and common parsing workflows.

04

Editable cover-letter draft

Uses the supplied company, role, and verified achievements. Missing evidence stays visibly bracketed instead of being invented.

Workflow

Three steps from source text to useful edits.

  1. 01

    Add the resume

Paste text or import a selectable-text PDF, TXT, or Markdown file.

  2. 02

    Add the target job

Paste the full posting so repeated role language and priorities can be compared.

  3. 03

    Review and edit

Use the transparent score breakdown, notes, language audit, and draft as guidance.

Inside the app

The actual product, across the full review.

Privacy boundary

Career data stays in the current tab.

PDF, TXT, Markdown, resume text, job text, and achievements are processed in browser memory. The current app does not send that content to BotNerva, create an account, or save it in browser storage.

Closing or refreshing the tab clears the entered content. Users should still verify every edit, keyword, and cover-letter statement before using it.

Questions

What the tool can and cannot do.

Is the fit score an official ATS score?

No. Employers use different applicant tracking products and hiring rules. Resume Polisher uses a documented local heuristic based on role-language alignment, quantified impact, structure, and contact signals.

Does BotNerva upload or store the resume?

No. The current app processes resume and job text in the browser and does not use an account, analytics, cookies, or browser storage for resume content.

Can it read every PDF?

It reads selectable text from PDFs up to the documented limits. Scanned or image-only PDFs need OCR first, and password-protected or malformed files are rejected.
